Cherie Priest can plot an adventure like nobody's business -- but until this book, I'd always found her prose a bit dry for my tastes.
Here, though, she lets loose and gets snarky, sarcastic, flippant, and downright decorative. I had a complete blast.
The only thing I wanted was more on how vampire society works -- but since we're dealing with two loners, and since it's the presumable beginning of a series, I suspect those will slowly unfold.
But I want them nnnnnnnnoooooooooowwwwwwwww! End whinge.
