The warmth of empathy tempered by precise reporting. This book was, of course, very difficult to read in places, but it felt significant enough to warrant the difficulty. It's not precisely an enjoyable book, but it is un-put-downable. Shocking how many myths of this event are revealed as fabrications. The shuffled timeline was actually helpful both in detailing all the personalities involved in the Columbine shooting, and at providing some much-needed distance from the most tragic parts of the narrative.
